Setting Your Status and Call Forwarding

Your status and call forwarding settings are used by your assistant to determine how to route your incoming calls. In addition, your Call Filtering Preferences are also used to decide whether a caller gets transferred to you or to your voice mail when you are in-meeting, out-of-office or unavailable.
Note
: You can also set your status and call forwarding using speech commands by phone.

Click Call Forwarding  to view and change your current Status and Call Forwarding.

How to Set your Status to "In-Meeting"

  • Select "In-Meeting" as your status and specify the time when you expect to come out of the meeting.
    Depending on how you set your Call Filtering Preferences, known callers will be informed that you are in a meeting and offered the option to be transferred to you. By default, callers are transferred to your voice mail. Your status will automatically switch back to Available with Automatic Call Forwarding at the end of your meeting.
  • Click Apply to confirm your new status setting.

How to Set your Status to "Out-of-Office"

  • Select "Out-of-Office"  as your status and specify the date when you expect to get back to your office.
    Depending on how you set your Call Filtering Preferences, known callers will be informed that you are  out-of-office until the specified date meeting and offered the option to be transferred to you. By default, callers are transferred to your voice mail. Your status will automatically switch back to Available with Automatic Call Forwarding after the date specified as the date of your return to office.
  • Click Apply to confirm your new setting.

How to Set your Status to "Unavailable"

  • Select "Not Available"  as your status.
     Depending on how you set your Call Filtering Preferences, known callers will be informed that you are  not available and offered the option to be transferred to you. By default, callers are transferred to your voice mail. Your Automatic Call Forwarding will be enabled once you change your status to Available.
  • Click Apply to confirm your new setting.

How to Forward your Calls to a Specific Telephone Number

  • Select "Available"  as your status then check "specify the phone number where you want to be reached.
    All your calls will be routed to that specific phone number.
    The automatic call forwarding schedules are disabled.
  • Click Apply to confirm your new setting.

How to Set your Automatic Call Forwarding ON

  • Select "Available"  as your status and check "Use my Call Forwarding Schedules" to activate Automatic Call Forwarding (FollowMe).
    All your calls will be forwarded according to your weekly call forwarding schedules and special events (Call Forwarding Schedule.)
  • Click Apply to confirm your new setting.
