Call Filtering & Call Screening Preferences
Call filtering and call screening help you manage your incoming calls to take only the calls you want, when and where you want them.
Call Screening
- Go to the Settings => Phone Numbers page.
- Select the phone for which you want to set the Call Screening option, and click the Properties link.
- Checkthe Tell me Who is Calling option in the Incoming Call Handling section to have the assistant tell you who is on the phone when transferring calls to you. After answering the call, you will then have the choice to:
- take the call,
- forward it to a colleague, or
- send the caller to your voice mail.
- Uncheck the Tell me Who is Calling option to disable Call Screening. In this mode, the assistant connects you directly with your callers when it transfers them to you.

Call Filtering
Here is how you define your call filtering preferences once you set your status to "in-meeting", "out-of-office" or "unavailable":
Go to the Settings => Call Filtering under Call Forwarding.
Select how you want your calls to be handled when you are "in-meeting", "out-of-office" or "unavailable":
- "All calls to voice mail". This means that you don't want to take any calls when you are busy or unavailable.
- "Only important calls to"then select the phone (mobile, home or business) where you want to get only urgent calls.
- "All calls to" then select the phone (mobile, home or business) where you want to get your calls without filtering them.
