Company Subscription Keys

Subscription keys (ESK) provide licenses for individuals to subscribe and use selected

Evatel services. Subscription keys are originally generated and customized by the service provider for each company account. It is the responsibility of company account administrators to customize and assign subscription keys to their users/employees. Each subscription key carries information about the set of service packages offered to its user.

Viewing the Lists of Subscription Keys

Click the Keys button in the Web Portal toolbar to view and manage the subscription keys of your company. The page is divided in two sections:

  1. The Used Keys section lists the keys already assigned to users. For each key, the list shows the following fields:
    • ID: The User ID of the key user
    • Name: Name of the key user
    • Key: the 12-character alphanumeric key number
    • Packages: Link to display the service packages assigned to the key
  2. The Unused Keys section lists the keys available to new users. For each key, the list shows the following fields:
    • Key: the 12-character alphanumeric key number
    • Reserved to: Link to reserve the key to a future user

You can view the list of subscription keys sorted by column heading. Simply click on a column title to sort the list using that column. You can click the column title again to switch the sorting order between ascending and descending.

Inviting Users to Subscribe using Reserved Keys

As the company administrator, you can invite users to subscribe using subscription keys which you have reserved for them. Here is how:

  • Click Keys to open the Subscription Keys page.
  • Choose a key in the Unused Keys tab then click the Reserved To link.
A Reserved Key window opens to enable you to enter the name, e-mail and language of the key user, as well as specify the service packages offered with the key.
  • Fill in the User Information fields to specify who will use the key as follows:
    • E-mail Address to send the subscription key
    • First name and last name of the user who will get the subscription key
    • Language of the key user
  • In the Service Packages section, check the OK flag for each service package you want to make available to the user. Go to Selecting the Default Packages to change the packages assigned initially to the subscription key.
  • Finally, check the Notify User by e-mail flag to have an invitation e-mail sent to the user. The user will not be notified if the Notify User by e-mail is unchecked.
  • Click OK to confirm the key reservation and invite the user to subscribe (if option checked).

Modifying the Packages Included in a Subscription Key
