Viewing Your Call Logs

Your virtual assistant logs every call you make and receive. The Call Logs are available to you on your Web portal. You can view, sort and filter them on the Web.
Note that you can also access your call logs by phone to call back people using speech commands. Go to Calling Back People from the Call Logs.

Call Logs Overview

Call Logs display the details about the calls you made and received through your virtual assistant services.

Click Call Logs on the Web portal to display the Call Logs page for the current month.
To view the call logs of a different month, select it from the pull-down list.

Details Logged for Each Call

The Call Logs provide the following information about each call made or received using the virtual assistant services:

Status: indicates the call completion status:

  • Means that the call was successfully completed. The parties connected and a telephone conversation took place
  • Means that the call reached a voice mail system and a voice message was left
  • Means that the parties were not connected and there was no voice mail left
Caller Name: is the name of the person who called you. Your name will be in this field for calls you made.

Caller Number: is the caller's phone number. Your phone number will be in this field for calls you made.

Called Name: is the name of the person you called. Your name will be in this field for calls you received.

Called Numberis the phone number of the person you called. For calls received, this field contains the phone number where you were reached.

Call Start is the date and time when the call started.

Duration: is the amount of time spent on the call (in the format hours:minutes:seconds).
(a) To update the call duration of a specific call, click on its duration field link.
(b) To refresh the duration for all calls of the selected month, click the Refreshbutton.

 

Sorting Call Logs

The Call Logs are displayed by month in chronological order with the most recent calls at the top of the list. You can sort the call logs by clicking on any of the column headings in the Call Logs view.  Here is what happens when you click on each column heading:

Caller Name: groups connected calls, calls that ended with voice mail and calls that did not connect.

Statussorts calls in alphabetical order by the caller's name.

Caller Number: sorts calls in numerical order by caller's phone number.

Called Namesorts calls in alphabetical order by the name of the person called if known.

Called Number: sorts calls in numerical order by the phone number called.

Call Start: sorts the list of calls in chronological order -- by date (either most recent calls at the top or oldest calls on top of the list).

Duration puts longest calls or shortest calls at the top of the list.

Filtering Call Logs using Predefined Filters (Categories)

The Call Logs are initially displayed with no filter (Show All Calls). A list of predefined filters is available for you to select different views.  Here is what is shown when you choose each Category (predefined filter):

Show All Callsdeactivates filtering and shows all calls sorted in the order specified by your sorting selection.

Calls Received: Shows only calls received through your virtual assistant services.

Faxes Received: Shows faxes received through your virtual assistant services.

Calls Made: Shows all calls you made through your virtual assistant services.

Sessions: Shows all the phone sessions you had with your virtual assistant.

Reminders: Shows all notifications and reminders your received from your virtual assistant.

To view a specific category of Call Logs:

  1. Go to the Call Logs page.
  2. Select the category you want to view (Sessions, Calls Made, Faxes Received, etc.) from the Category list.
  3. Click Refresh to display the desired Call Logs.

The above Call Logs views are displayed by month using the Month filter. You can select a different month from the pull-down list as needed.

Outbound Call Duration

Each time you make a call through the assistant, a call made entry is logged with its duration calculated as the number of seconds between the call connection and the call disconnection (hung up). This method is used for all incoming and outgoing calls.

Note: If you make long distance calls, extra charges may apply.

Incoming Call Duration and Billing

When someone calls you through your virtual assistant services, two phone calls may be logged: 
  • The incoming call to your assistant, and
  • The outgoing call from your assistant to the number you specified in your Call Forwarding
The Call Logs will show both incoming and outgoing calls separately.

Phone Sessions with your Virtual Assistant

Each time you call your assistant, or someone calls you through your assistant, a session is created and logged including its duration from the time your assistant answers the call to the time the call gets disconnected.

Sessions include the time you spend during your dialog with your assistant as well as the time spent talking to people or people leaving you voice mail.

Faxes Received

You can see the list of faxes received on your Smart Number with Auto-Fax and your Smart Fax number in the Call Logs page.

Select Faxes Received to display a detailed list of faxes received for the selected Month
