Voice Transcription Providers
This page lists the voice transcription (V2T) service providers that can be used by the virtual assistant to transcribe voice messages. The virtual assistant uses vvoice transcription engines to convert voice mail messages, spoken emails and SMS messages into text before sending them.
Your virtual assistant is already configured to work with the following V2T providers:
- Mutare
- Google Speech
- MyScribbit: http://www.myscribbit.com/ (MyScribbit requires an account for every user)
Contact your virtual assistant software vendor if you want to add or remove a V2T engine on the system.
Interface Overview
This page lists the supported voice transcription providers with the following information:

Add a Voice-to-Text Engine
You cannot add a V2T engine from the Web portal. Contact the virtual assistant software vendor if you want to add voice-to-text engines.
Delete a Voice-to-Text Engine
You cannot delete a V2T engine from the Web portal. Contact the virtual assistant software vendor if you want to delete voice-to-text engines.
Modify the Settings of a Voice-to-Text Engine
To modify the settings and credentials needed to access a V2T engine:
- From the main menu, click Transcription.
- Click the name of the V2T engine that you want to configure.
- Fill in the fields as required. See Voice Transcription Provider Settings for details.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Specify the Default Voice-to-Text Engine
To specify which V2T engine will be used by default for new accounts:
- From the main menu, click Transcription.
- Click the name of the V2T engine to select as the default engine.
- Check the box By Default.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
Voice-to-Text Engine Settings
By Default
Check this box to make the voice-to-text provider the default V2T engine for new accounts. There can be only one default V2T provider on the system.
Service URL
Enter the URL address where the voice-to-text service can be accessed. For example: http://online.voiceserver.com/v2t_api.php
Username
Enter the username of the account authorized to access and use the voice-to-text service provider.
Password
Enter the password of the account authorized to access and use the voice-to-text service provider.
