Speech Commands to Access your Voice Mail by Phone

 

Your virtual assistant helps you access and process your voicemail by phone using speech commands. Your voice messages have been stored by the Smart Number service in your Inbox as e-mails with .WAV file attachments. While listening to your voice messages, you can use speech commands to reply, archive, delete or forward them to your contacts or colleagues. You can also compose and send a voice mail to contacts and colleagues in your voice directory.

You can say or enter one of the following commands from the main menu:

Sending New Voice E-Mails to Contacts

You can record and send voice messages as e-mails to contacts and colleagues in your voice directory using speech commands from any phone. Here is how:

To record and send a voice e-mail to a contact:

Say:  SEND AN EMAIL TO{Contact Name}
or in DTMF mode, enter:(1) (3) (9){Select Contact} (1) (#){Record Message} (#) (1)

Record your new voice message. To end recording, stop talking or press #. You can also use voice mail commands to edit your message. Once you are satisfied, say YES or press 1 in DTMF mode.
Evatel will confirm that the new voice message has been successfully e-mailed, then goes back to the main menu.

Listening to Voice Messages by Phone

You can listen to your new and archived voice messages directly from the main menu as follows:

To listen to your new voice messages:

Say: READ MY NEW VOICE MESSAGES
or in DTMF mode, enter: (1) (1)

To listen to new voice messages from a specific contact in your voice directory:

Say: READ VOICE MESSAGES FROM CONTACT {Contact Name}
or in DTMF mode, enter: (1) (#) (9){Select Contact}

To listen to your archived voice messages:

Say: READ MY ARCHIVED VOICE MESSAGES
or in DTMF mode, enter: (1) (2)

Your assistant will start playing the most recent voice message it finds in your Inbox.

Commands while listening to voice messages

While listening to a voice message or immediately after, you can say or enter one of the following commands:

Note that if you enter commands such as NEXT, DELETE or ARCHIVEwhile processing the last voice message in your mailbox, the assistant will go back to the main menu.

Forwarding Voice Messages by Phone

You can forward voice messages to any contact in your Voice Directory from your phone. You may also add an introduction to the forwarded voice message using your own voice.

While listening to the voice message or immediately after .

To forward the voice message to a Contact:

Say: SEND A COPY then say the Contact Name when asked.
or in DTMF mode, enter: (3) (9){Select Contact} (1) (#) (1){Record Note} (#) (1)

You can record a cover note if you want. To end recording, stop talking or press #. You can use the standard voice mail commands to edit your message. Once you are satisfied, say YES or press 1 in DTMF mode. Evatel will confirm that the forwarded voice message with your cover note if any have been successfully e-mailed.

Calling Back the Voice Mail Sender

You can call back the voice mail sender on the phone number they called from or a different phone number if the sender is a contact in your Voice Directory.

While listening to the voice message or immediately after .

To call back the voice message sender:

Say: CALL BACK SENDER
or in DTMF mode, enter: (8) (#) to call back the voice mail sender on the calling number; or to call back the contact who sent the voice mail on a different phone number, enter: (8){Select Contact Phone Number} (#)

Evatel will call and connect you to the voice mail sender on the selected telephone number.

Important Note: If you are a subscriber of the conferencing option and wish to continue your session after the call, then you must either (a) wait for the other party to hang-up, or (2) press the call termination keys (usually ##) to end the call without ending the session.

Replying to the Voice Mail Sender

You can reply to voice messages sent by known contacts from your phone, using your own voice. Here is how
